California rocked by 5.3 magnitude earthquake centered near Bakersfield

Los Angeles was affected by the largest one, which was focused in Kern County.




The USGS reports that on Tuesday night, Kern County was struck by an earthquake of magnitude 5.3, with its epicenter located near Lamont, California, not far from Bakersfield.
Several aftershocks were felt after the 9.09 p.m. PT earthquake of magnitude 5.3.

Orange County was affected by the earthquake, which was felt throughout Los Angeles.

Following the primary earthquake, there were over a dozen aftershocks, two of which were in the same location and had magnitudes of 4.5 and 4.1.

The USGS stated that there are still tremors in the Grapevine region, which is situated between Kern County and Santa Clarita, which is north of Los Angeles.
There haven't been any reports of damage in LA County thus far, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office, which speaks with KABC7 Los Angeles. On the other hand, the LA Fire Department is prepared for an earthquake.
